The January campout is 2-night Range and Target Activities outing to Camp Frank G Lumpkin on the shores of West Point Lake near LaGrange, GA. Participants will have the opportunity to shoot rifles, shotguns and archery, throw tomahawks and build and use catapults. All range and target activities will have highly qualified Range Safety Officers and BSA/NRA certified instructors. The catapults will be assembled onsite and used to lauch tennis balls in the large activites field. Lots to do!! And star viewing at night.
Scouts can work on the Shooting Sports Merit Badge during this campout, although we will not be offering the merit badge courses. Reading through and understanding the sports you will be participating in will give you an edge during the weekend and you will learn much more!

The shooting range will provide eye and ear protection; however, you are welcome to bring your own as well.
Money for lunch stop on return
If your scout will be taking medications during the weekend, please have your Scout turn it in when assembling Satuday morning to the medical officer

NO prescription, over the counter medicine, vitamins or herbal supplements are permitted in a scout’s gear.
The Scout’s medication, along with the completed form should be placed in a Ziplock bag.
Medications MUST BE in their ORIGINAL containers. We will be unable to accept anything without the original container.
Please label the Ziplock bag with your Scout’s name.
Emergency medications such as Epi-pen and albuterol inhalers should be kept with the Scout at all times!!!!!
Meet at OGUMC parking lot at 6:00 PM on Friday
Will plan to leave Camp Lumpkin around 10:30 on Sunday, stop for lunch and be back to OGUMC around 1:00PM.
