There are 56 seats on the bus. When 56 people have signed up, registration will close and a waiting list will open.
If you and/or your scout are renting ski equipment: Equipment Rental Waiver. Please complete a separate waiver for each person renting equipment.
Lodging waiver for Summit Bechtel: Lodging Waiver. All trip participants must complete this waiver.
All participants will need to have current Scouting America Medical forms Parts A, B and C on file.
All scouts will need a current (within 12 months) Activity Consent Waiver on file.

Youth are 12-years old and under.
Youth: $475-$525; Adults: $525-575. Final cost will depend on the total number of participants.

Lesson: $25/Person. Required for novice skiers. One can be booked now and additional lessons can be added on onsite.
We will be traveling to Winter Place West Virginia for two days of skiing and winter fun and staying at Summit Bechtel Scout Reserve, home of the Scouting America National Jamboree each summer.
We will leave Friday night to drive around 7 hours to Summit Bechtel where we will be staying in camp bunkhouses. Please eat dinner prior to arrival at OGUMC. Transportation between Summit Bechtel and Winter Place will be provided by the charter bus as will the trip home.
After breakfast on Saturday we will all travel to the ski resort, divide into out ski groups and check in to receive our lift tickets and acquire any rental equipment (boots, skis and poles). Rental equipment will be returned at the end of your ski day on Sunday. Once each ski group has lift tickets and has been equipped, they can hit the mountain. Ski groups taking lessons will have their lesson prior to being released onto the mountain. Ski group assignemnts will be based on skiing experience, skill and interest in trying more difficult terrain.
Beginner skiers will have a mandatory lesson provided on Saturday prior to hitting the slopes with their ski group. All skiers are welcome to take one or more lessons. The Scout ski packages offers one lesson. Additional lessons can be booked and paid for onsite for $25.
Snow tubing is also available at the mountain for an additional fee.
Breakfast and Dinner on Saturday and Sunday and breakfast on Monday will be served at Summit-Bechtel in the Dining Hall. Lunches on Sat and Sunday will be available at the ski resort with included meal vouchers. Bring cash for food on the drive home.
Participants will be sleeping in 6-person HEATED bunkhouses at the Summit Bechtel Scout Reserve. Hot showers will be on tap. Linens, blankets and pillows are provided. Scouts must make bunking arrangements prior to departure and be ready to settle in quickly on arrival.

If your scout will take medications during the weekend, please have your Scout turn it over to the medical officer when arriving for departure at OGUMC.

NO prescription, over the counter medicine, vitamins or herbal supplements are permitted in a scout’s gear.
The Scout’s medication, along with the completed form should be placed in a Ziplock bag.
Medications MUST BE in their ORIGINAL containers. We will be unable to accept anything without the original container.
Please label the Ziplock bag with your Scout’s name.
Emergency medications such as Epi-pen and albuterol inhalers should be kept with the Scout at all times!!!!!
Skiing groups will be 4-6 scouts per 2 adults and will be grouped by skill level reported at registration. Scouts MUST ski with their group at all times.
