Policies to Review with Your Scout

To ensure Scouts' safety (and the sanity of our attending adults), we need parents to sit down before our Sunday departure and review, line by line, the following documents:

1) The Troop 77 Campout and Activity Rules

https://drive.google.com/file/d/1VIQE2jUiO92AwxPCeuSZRAwe5FaCwpKo/view

2) The Troop 77 Electronics Policy

drive.google.com/file/d/19FpY6HQ6DI-fkQA7JAgSGXfJ4lPUHkw6/view

3) The Troop 77 Discipline Policy

https://drive.google.com/file/d/15aRRCJxpumFD5prx0lbzgUCIbRHiM5uk/view

Rules are effective only when followed. All Troop 77 scouts should know, understand, and respect the rules and procedures put forth in the documents above. We will review them as needed at camp and all 3 documents will be posted in our site. Thank you in advance for going over them with your scout.

Packing

Recommended Packing List

  • Please label ALL items sent to camp. When packing, ensure that you pack enough for the entire week of camp.  Laundry services are not available.

  • Rain is always likely! Ensure rain gear and an extra pair of shoes are packed. Wet clothes and shoes are no fun.

  • "No electronics" includes e-book readers like Kindles. Scouts should bring paper books to read.

  • Spending Money: Lunch will be purchased both to and from camp, so make sure your scout has at least $30 put aside for these meals. In addition, scouts may want to purchase souvenirs or snacks from the Trading Post. ($100 total should be plenty.)

  • Shower shoes are recommended. These can be flip-flops, but are not the same as camp shoes. Camp shoes are comfy shoes to wear around the campsite and must follow our footwear policy (e.g., closed-toed, heel strap/back)

Waiver for Whitewater Rafting

Nantahala Rapids Waiver

Ocoee Rapids Waiver

If your scout is participating in Free-Range Thursday Whitewater Rafting, please complete the appropriate waiver above.  Once completed, scan and upload here.

Medications

If your Scout will take any medication (over-the-counter and/or prescription) during Summer Camp, the parent must complete this dosage form and give just enough medication for the campout in the original packaging to the Summer Camp medical officers.

If your scout’s medical form indicates the use of an inhaler, EpiPen®, or similar medical device, the Camp Staff will confirm that the individual has the required item(s) in their possession. If the camper doesn’t have the item(s), the scout will be restricted from camp activities until the items indicated on the form are obtained. PLAN AHEAD!

Emergency medications such as Epi-pen and albuterol inhalers should be kept with the Scout in their day pack, in a specific pocket marked by the troop's standard reflective colored hang tags. Scouts should bring their intended day pack to Check-in and visibly show the troop medical officers the pocket with the rescue meds, and the tag indicating the location.

Parents must turn in all oral medication for their scout at Saturday Check-In, regardless of whether it is prescription or over-the-counter, including supplements, etc. No prescription, over-the-counter medicine, vitamins, or herbal supplements are permitted in a scout’s luggage.

Medication should be prepared according to the exact guidelines below:

  • All medication must be in a container issued by the pharmacist with the medication name, strength, dose, and dose frequency clearly marked.

  • If medication was not issued by a pharmacist (over-the-counter), medication must be in branded packaging with dosing instructions present.

  • Store all your scout’s medications inside a Ziploc bag that securely closes (gallon-sized preferred)

  • Complete this medication dosage form, listing all medications you are turning in. Use 2 forms if needed. Tuck completed form inside the Ziploc bag with medications.

  • Label outside of bag with your scout’s first and last name.

Mail Call

Scouts LOVE to receive mail and packages from home (No valuables should be sent).  Please send packages in advance of camp to account for mail processing.  Any mail received after the Troop has checked out will be returned to the sender.

Cookies/Snacks

There is a long-standing tradition for parents to make snacks (cookies, brownies, bacon for the adults, etc.) to send with us for the week. We give these out to scouts who did a good deed, as a daily pick-me-up, or just because.

Drop goodies off during Check-in on Saturday, June 13.

Label all homemade cookies (Gluten-Free, Nut-Free, etc.) for easier distribution to scouts with allergies.

Please make sure all cookies are in disposable containers that will not need to be returned.

Medical Forms

(These forms should already be submitted for CRM 2026.)

Every participant will need Forms A, B1, B2 and C completed. You are responsible to keep medical forms current and a copy for your reference.

  • Notes about Form C

    • It must be completed by certified and licensed physicians (MD, DO), nurse practitioners, or physician assistants.

    • You can get evaluated and have the form completed at a clinic other than that of your primary physican, like an Urgent Care clinic.

  • T77 participants should drop their completed forms in the black box during a Tuesday night meeting.

If a participant does not have med forms completed by the dates outlined above, the participant will not go.  Copies of Required Forms can be found at the link below.

Dietary Request or Special Needs

(These forms should already be submitted for CRM 2026.)

The Northeast Georgia Council will do everything in its power to accommodate participants with special needs.  We will do our best to accommodate most food allergies but cannot be held accountable for the management of these allergies. Severe allergies that require special food items must be provided for your child on the day of arrival at camp. Example: Gluten Free Diets cannot be provided by the food service department due to the severity and complexity of this diet.  We are able to store food for you in our refrigerator or dry storage area if requested.

If your scout has special dietary request, you will need to complete the form below and turn in with your registration.

If an attending adult has a special needs request, e.g., needs an electric outlet for medical equipment, then please complete the form below and turn in with your registration
