Cost: $375 ($325 if at least 5 Troop 77 Scouts register)

All fees for Merit Badge Classes are included. However, a select few MBs require the purchase of a kit from the Trading Post.

Experience Four Nights of Fun-Filled Scouting at Bert Adams Winter Camp!

The Atlanta Area Council is proud to offer Winter Camp at Bert Adams Scout Camp for Scouts BSA Troops and Venturing Crews. For 5 days and 4 nights in December, Scouts BSA and Venturers will have the opportunity to camp and play at one of America's premier camps.

Winter Camp Activities

Over 60 Merit Badges, Games, Cracker Barrels, an epic Klondike Derby, Polar Bear Plunge, Cold Weather Camping Activities, Campfires, New Year's Eve ice cream social (New), and other unique programs. Don't miss out on our Winter Camp highlight - The Klondike Quest! Build your Sled and join in on the Scout Skills challenges with your Troop or Patrol. Your group will travel through the Alaskan towns along the trail of the 2026 AAC Klondike Derby.

Important dates/order of operations

INITIAL REGISTRATION: Register for Winter Camp at Bert Adams at the link above. All registrations must be received by November 27, 2026.
MERIT BADGE PREFERENCE SELECTION: After completing registration, our Winter Camp Coordinator (Mrs. Gifford) will reach out for your scout's Merit Badge Preferences. MB registration opens November 9, so the sooner your scout is registered, the better the chance of getting the coveted MB classes.
PAYMENT: Our Troop Treasurer will send an invoice for your scout's Winter Camp Fees.
MEDICAL FORMS/DIETARY RESTRICTIONS: These forms must be submitted by December 6, 2026. See below for links.
UPDATES: Pertinent updates will be emailed to registered participants as they become available.

Merit Badge Information

Merit badge sessions are held in block session format; morning session 8:45 - 11:45 and afternoon session 1:45 - 4:45.
Some sessions require attendance of both morning and afternoon sessions.
Some merit badges, may require pre- or post-work to be completed. Scouts can choose to complete requirements ahead of camp, but must bring in evidence to show the merit badge instructor so they can be included on the requirement sheet.
Range & Target Activities (RATA) merit badges require afternoon or evening time for target qualification and rifle cleaning. Scouts taking these badges should plan on using one or more afternoons to complete their requirements.
